Reverend Joseph and his wife, Marie, are the founders of Shalom,
a comprehensive, non-profit organization dedicated to helping
parents meet the needs of their children through education, food
and shelter in North Miami, Florida as well as in Port-au-Prince,
Haiti.
Teachers and students benefit from the efforts of Reverend Joseph
and his wife. The Center operates 2 schools in Haiti. The first
school opened in 1985 and started out with 20 children. Presently,
there are 2 schools with over 675 children.
Classes are conducted in the church. Teachers and students lack
basic and essential equipment. Reverend Joseph, Marie, and Shalom
Center friends are diligent in their efforts to supply salaries,
benches, desks, classrooms and a well for drinking water. Currently,
there are 185 children anxiously waiting for enrollment
During this holiday season, you can help Shalom Center. The organization accepts donations of books, pencils, and other educational materials, as well as clothing and other necessities of life. Toy donations are now being accepted for Christmas in February in Haiti.
