Christian Artists Featured at Night
of Joy '97:
Six Christian artists will take center stage at Disney's Magic
Kingdom on September 12 & 13. Amid the glamour of night life
at the Kingdom, Steven Curtis Chapman, Anointed, Newsong, Jars
of Clay, Jacqi Velasquez, and Sarah Masen will sing the night
away at Night of Joy '97 from 8:30 pm-1:00 am. Tickets to the
event are on sale now at selected Christian bookstores, Ticketmaster,
The Disney Store, and Walt Disney World. Tickets can also be purchased
by calling (407) 827-7200. Tickets are $29 if purchased at the
gate.

Jose Paulos will be the guest speaker on July 24 from 7-8:30 am.
Paulos has earned a name for himself through his weekly radio
and television shows in South Florida. Morris, was a running back
for the Miami Dolphins during their 1972-73 Super Bowl appearances.
In the early 1980's, he had a stint with cocaine and was sentenced
to 15 years in jail. Today, Morris speaks out about the drug
problems in South Florida and how Christ changed his life. He
will the guest speaker on August 21. Both events will be held
at Embassy Suites, located at 3974 S. River Dr., from 7-8:30 am.
Breakfast will be served.
In addition to their monthly breakfasts, the CCC-Dade chapter
will hold a business seminar entitled Managing your Business
Information on Friday, July 18 from 8:00 am-12:00 pm at
the Embassy Suites Hotel. Speakers will include Account pro Jessie
Jones who will speak on Accounting Solutions, Henry Myer who will
speak on Document Management, and Richard Ramos on Basic Tools

Special rights to homosexuals and lesbians could be granted
Commissioner Bruce Kaplan filed a motion on May 6 that would grant
special rights to homosexuals and lesbians. The motion has generated
controversy among Christian groups.
A hearing regarding the ordinance was held at the Stephen P. Clark
Center, 111 NW 1st Street on June 17. At press time,
the hearing was still in session.
A decision on Kaplan's motion will be made on July 22 when a public
hearing is held also at the Clark Center.
Ministry seeks to Help Possible
Hurricane Victims:
Operation Nineveh , a ministry that offers guidance
during the Hurricane season meets every Monday Night at 7:30 pm.
The ministry, founded by Christopher Cole, holds its meetings

Mentors For Juveniles Needed:
Agape Women's Center is seeking mentors for juveniles ranging
from ages 10-17. The areas where mentors are needed are Goulds,
Perrine, Richmond Heights, and Homestead. The Juvenile Mentoring

James Abraham of Miami, has been appointed Dade County Area Director

Two New Pastors Named:
Dr. Rick Blackwood has been named Pastor of First Baptist Church
of Perrine, located at 8900 S. W. 168th St., Perrine
and Wayside Baptist Church in Miami has named Rev. Gary L. Johnson
as their pastor and Rev. Clint J. Stasney as their youth pastor.
